How people sign up for texts from us
Lauber Property Management LLC texts residents of the buildings we manage, and people who ask about renting from us, only when they have agreed to it or when they text us first. There are three ways that happens.
1. Residents: the resident portal
LPM Resident Alerts are building notices such as water shut-offs and repairs, maintenance request updates, requests to enter a unit, and rent and lease-renewal reminders. Residents choose to receive them; otherwise we email them.
To sign up, a resident signs in to the resident portal at portal.lauberproperty.com with a one-time link emailed to the address on their lease. Under Text message alerts on their dashboard they enter their mobile number and tick the consent box, which starts unchecked. We then text them a confirmation. Residents can turn texts off on the same page or by replying STOP.
This is the form residents see (shown here as an example; it does nothing on this page):
Text message alerts
After signing up, the resident receives this text:
Lauber Property Mgmt: You're signed up for LPM Resident Alerts about your building, tenancy and maintenance requests. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
2. Prospective residents: the showing booking form
People booking a showing on our online booking form can choose to receive texts about that showing: confirmations, reminders and answers to their questions. The form has an optional checkbox, which starts unchecked, with the wording below, and a field for their mobile number. Booking a showing does not require agreeing to texts, and we never text a number that came from a listing website or other third party.
Optional: Lauber Property Management LLC may text me about this showing. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Not required to book. Terms: lauberproperty.com/terms Privacy: lauberproperty.com/privacy

3. Anyone: texting us first
Residents and prospective residents can text our number with a question, a request or to report a maintenance issue. We reply only within that conversation; outside office hours we send one automatic reply saying when we will respond and how to reach us in an emergency. Texting us does not sign anyone up for recurring texts.
